The Snugpak Stratosphere is a waterproof, One person Bivvi Shelter that includes lightweight aluminum poles to create a self supporting canopy around the head and shoulders which allows increased breathability and movement while giving protection from the elements. Great for lightweight backpacking and survival situations. Fully Zipped with Roll Away Mosquito Net in front of the hood and meshed ventilation section at the back. MUCH SMALLER then a standard tent but with all the features, supplied with seven ultralight alloy Y type stakes/pegs and packs into its own compression sack. 2 Night Stint I took this bivvi on a 2 night backpacking trip. Both nights it rained. I woke up the in the mornings to a pretty damp inside of the bivvi from condensation, but it was nothing compared to the dew/rain on the outside. Overall it kept me pretty dry and if I was able to open the top mesh flap I don’t think condensation would have been as much of a problem. The Ultimate Bivvi. I purchased this item because I wanted an ultralight sleep system to protect me from the rain and harsh conditions of the Florida swaps.
