Cold Application: Before cold application, please store it in the freezer at least 2 hours. And use it together with cloth or towel.
Hot Application:
In hot water: You can put the pack into pot with boiled water without heating source for 10 minutes. Or you can boil the pack in the pot with a cloth or towel as barrier between pot and pack. Boils 4 minutes, the temperature can be up to 65 C(149 F); Boils 10 minutes, the temperature will be up to 80 C(176 F).
Microwave. Put the pack into microwave oven flat, and heat it for 60 seconds based on intermediate level. If it is not warm for you, please knead it for several times, and heat it another 30 seconds on another side.

Comfortable and perfect for icing small areas. As usual, when I need something and I don’t know if I will be able to find it where I live I go to amazon.com. I needed a smaller flexible ice pack for me foot and my knee. I found this and it is perfect. No need to keep readjusting it in place because of the velcro strap. It stays where it is put and is very comfortable. I ordered additional gel packs and just ordered another one of these. I have to ice the front and back of one knee and the top of the other foot and the toes as well. Now…
Excellent ice packs – but require lower temp to freeze… Besides having a house full of active kids and adults, I’m at the age where tennis elbow and other tendinitis is all too common. I have some ice packs I really love (ShockDoctor), and was hoping that these would be identical. They are….and they aren’t. Size is identical, but the issue is that unless the blue gel freezes, it’s not super cold.
