His mum is a spoon. His dad is a fork. And he’s a bit of both. He’s Spork!

Spork sticks out in the regimented world of the cutlery drawer. The spoons think he’s too pointy, while the forks find him too round. He never gets chosen to be at the table at mealtimes until one day a very messy … thing arrives in the kitchen who has never heard of cutlery customs. Will Spork finally find his place at the table?

This ?multi-cutlery? tale is a humorous and lively commentary on individuality and tolerance. Its high-spirited illustrations capture the experience and emotions of anyone who has ever wondered about their place in the world.

Awesome I bought this for a storybook themed baby shower I co hosted. We had books to match each part of the shower, this went next to the silverware. I had never read this book but when I received it i was very impressed! The spork feels bad because everyone makes fun of him because he is different, not a spoon, not a fork. The other silverware talk about how they are so much better and what makes them better then the little spork. Eventually the spork learns that it ok to be yourself and be…

Cute story Adorable story about a spork who doesn’t know who he fits with. Ending is a little contrived, but the story is relatable and fun for kids.

Great way to talk to kids about feeling different… This book has been a great treat for our 3-year-old and even has relevance for our 11-year-old, as it addresses the question, Who am I and why do I sometimes feel so out of place? Our girls get a kick out of the fact that the main character is a spork, who struggles to find himself, a topic that we, as parents, can easily segue into, both during and after our reading sessions. Highly recommend this purchase!
