Its not a Pelican Elite… but it is Stanely Tough! I needed a good cooler for daily fishing adventures. I did not need this cooler to be huge or to keep ice for days… but it did need to keep things cold minimum a day. The cooler needed to be tough and long lasting. I don’t plan to abuse it… but I do not like buying things over and over again. Lost star/keeps flipping over. Great cooler for work and outdoor environments. The locking clips on the front are extremely strong. Even when the clips are unlocked, the rubber gasket under the lid helps the lid remain closed even if tipped over.
Good performance, 16 qt is BIG. Both 16 qt & 7 qt have bad handles. I bought the 16 qt and the 7 qt to compare and to replace a Stanley Classic lunch box that broke. The pictures show the 16 qt one compared to the 7 qt.
