It is double walled for heat retention, and wide mouth for easy cleaning. There is a nifty wire handle for carrying or clipping onto a backpack. Some may not like the plastic inside touching the hot liquid. I had problem twisting the cap, ridges would help. I hope that ridges would be incorporated in future redesign.

It’s been dropped, banged around in my backpack, and almost run over once. So far, it’s only got a couple of scuff marks.It’s stainless steel inside and out. Only the ring around the cap and neck of this mug is plastic. I guess the inside of the lid is plastic, too, but that’s holding some insulating material to keep heat from leaking out of the lid…
