ProTac HL3 vs ProTac HL4 I’ve owned the ProTac HL3 for about 8 months now and I love it. It’s small and it has 1100 lumens. The HL3 has a long beam distance the only con is that you cannot use rechargeable batteries and it uses 3 CR 123 batteries and they go by quick.

Fantastic light AWESOME LIGHT. Just received this light and tested it. It comes with both a CR123A battery, as well as a quality AA battery. Both batteries inserted into the light without issue. Upon inserting the AA, there is a small amount of spring pressure put on the battery in order to close the tail cap, however, it is a non issue.
