Screamin’ Leakin’ Piece of Junk I assembled the leader hose to the bottom. Per instructions, I unlocked and removed the reel and then attached my 25 foot garden hose to the fitting inside the reel…..note that my hose is half the capacity of this reel.I returned the reel inside the pot, locked it, checked it to make sure it was seated & locked and then turned on the hose. The thing literally made a screaming sound as a combination of air and water leaked out from the center hub. Only way I could get the thing…

which works out fine. Until our construction is done Color was deeper in tone, which works out fine. Until our construction is done, don’t have a place to stake it or mount it firmly to the ground, so it is a bit awkward. Add in that my 50 ft hose is a bit thicker, it is not easy to wind up, but that is because it is just “sitting” on the driveway right now. A different hose and mounting it to the ground or a heavy base and it would be perfect.

perfect if you hate winding hoses. I don’t have the personality type that can wind and unwind hoses every day. Or even every 2 weeks. Actually, if I had to wind a hose once a year that is almost too much.Also, most hose reels involve some fighting and tipping over. At least they do when I use them.
