Expensive — and worth it I have an earlier version of this without the adjustable optics. The finest compass that I have ever encountered. You can make measurements precise to a tenth of a degree. Ultimate precision requires a tripod mount, which I have made out of aluminum, wood, and brass screws, on order to do some serious surveying.
Five Stars A great product and one that has been very helpful. Extremely accurate
Archaeologist approved I use this for archaeological fieldwork. For most applications–survey, mapping, setting up units, determining the azimuth of walls and stairways–it stands in perfectly well for a Brunton, at less than half the price (and maybe 2/3 the weight).
