Best Bang for Buck Compass out there … If you need a compass, bigger is best, but just how big can big be? Reason is, the aiming accuracy and capability gets better if you have a large stable platform and sight. OTAH, getting a wrist compass to do the same thing is difficult to achieve, and the M-9 meets this role well. Great compass Was using a Garmin 401 GPS digital compass feature, but helicopters throw off the calibration (imagine my surprise stepping off a Blackhawk and my Garmin 401 compass has me turning in circles). So I bought this and mounted it to the strap of the Garmin 401. Now I have an accurate compass and can read my grid location, bearing, and distance, and use the compass to adjust my heading accurately, all by taking only a moment to glance at my wrist.
Good compass for keeping general direction Seems as accurate as any other quality compass, as long as you keep away from other metals/phones etc.. Bought a Marathon watch band 20mm WW005003 to go with it, and it fit perfectly. Keep it level when using, and it will work fine – I think it only takes a second or two to settle, which doesn’t really bother me. I like the sight as you look across it from the back.
