No electrician needed Got this to make a bulk cable run of about 500 ft, after our hired electricians quoted an obnoxious amount…for us $40 in cable, and this kit, and now it’s done. Also tested some cables that were purchased previously, found the faults in those cables, re-headed them, and now have an assortment of cables ready for use. Components seem to be quality, will see how everything holds up over time.
I like the Kit Well, I like the Kit, but the case is too delicate, should be the case have to be strong for work, and the Punch tool should be the new kind of the punch down tools with sensor and cutting stuff and the J tools and a blade tools to push off the Riel. But anything else are fine.Can be much better on the case quality..
meh, better than nothing All of the new techs at my work get this kit for basic field work. The lights on the tester go bad frequently and only 1 out of 4 crimp tools actually makes good cable ends.If you luck out and get a good set that everything works properly in it’s a decent value. If you get a crimp tool that misses a pin every time or a tester that can’t be trusted it’s a waste.That said it has saved me in a pinch a few times. When I didn’t have my good tools on me and this was flopping…
