The Golden Compass is an epic action adventure game that immerses you in the magical parallel world of the $150 million budgeted film from New Line Cinema, the studio behind The Lord of the Rings trilogy. With its AAA cast, including Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig (the new James Bond), the story follows Lyra’s heroic journey from the safety of her home to the dangerous wonders of the North. Expectable With graphics that certainly cannot be considered high-quality, and a plot that does not even follow the movie correctly–let alone the book, this game really was no more and no less than I expected it to be. When it comes to games based off movies, it is rare that you’ll find one that is truly good. And seeing how the movie wasn’t exactly a smash anyhow, you can only expect the game to be half (at the least) as good as the film. I finished the game within 3 days, it wasn’t a challenge for…

Great Gift My grandson had read the Golden Compass books and really liked them and so he asked for this older game for his birthday. I was pleased to find it on Amazon and he was very happy to receive it. I know nothing about games but he said it was very good and that the graphics were great and he loved playing the game.
