Talk About “Star-Studded” This movie has aged so well, and was so much better than other similar efforts, and is so much better acted than current hero-hunk vehicles, that it’s no wonder it qualifies as a pure classic.
Decent retelling Not everything in this made-for-TV movie is accurate for the story of The Odyssey, but overall it’s a decent version. Special effects budget was likely about a buck fifty, buck seventy-five at most. There are two additional points this movie makes that aren’t in The Odyssey that improve the story. Looks great in Blu-ray I don’t normally read other reviews of a product before I write one … unless I am uncertain about a purchase and want to see what customers who already have the product report about it.In this case there were warnings of a “so-so” transfer and the use of DNR (digital noise reduction) … which gets rid of film damage artifacts but can also blur detail.I can report that I see plenty of detail in this film, and the colors are superb.
