Fool me twice I had a pair of these previously, they were fine for 9 months and then developed a hole in the heel fabric. I purchased these as a replacement. Although no seams are separated, the left shoe has material that rubs together and sounds like flapping. My office workers were assuming the sole had separated since it was so loud. Unfortunately, the separation occurred on day 35, so I was out of the standard return policy.

Apparent Knock-Off I have purchased The Northface Ultra 109 GTX on two other occasions from REI and directly from The Northface. These shoes are not as sturdy or supportive as the original. There are some minor cosmetic differences and I have included photos for comparison. The red pair were purchased from The Northface, and the black pair are from Amazon.
