Holds its air for a week…or more. This therm-a-rest pad works quite well. I have another one that is 20 years old and this is the replacement for that one (for when it stops working well….it still works fine). I needed a second one. Over the years I have purchased a number of different brands of pads but only the therm-a-rest pads have ‘held their air’ over time. It is a basecamp pad so is too heavy to carry with a pack but it is very comfortable and inflates pretty well…expect to blow in a ‘finishing’ breath or two at…

basecamp mat Durable and light carry mat. Much better than sleeping on the ground or on a hard park bench when I am a homeless vagrant scorned by many, so I write this story and publish book Something About Hats on Amazon.

Sleeping on clouds I value sleeping comfortably. I reviewed alot of sleeping pads. This pad was heavier, than most. I received the sleeping pad easy to inflate. For me the extra weight is well worth it. My first time using it felt like sleeping on clouds.
