Great for ice pack on hot day! I was specifically looking for an “ice sheet” and these were petfect. I have MS and AR summers are BAD! I soaked practically all of these in water before freezing them (2 per bag) in oversized zippy bags. It took a few hours of soaking in water to get them fully absorbed and a good 48 hours to freeze them all. Each of the little squares puffed out after absorbing the water and surprisingly wasn’t terribly heavy once frozen. I pack them in an ice chest when going out. I ride a recumbent…
These are really neat! Basically, you get 5 large sheets flat-packed. They have plastic on one side and a semi-permeable mesh on the other. In the middle are pockets with a few little clear beads. You can cut the sheets into any size you want. Then you soak the thing in water, and over the course of about ten minutes the tiny clear beads, like tapioca, will absorb the water and make the squares into squishy gel pillows that are about 3/4 inch thick at their widest point.Then you freeze them, and presto -…
Great for SINGLE time use; or to keep frozen and re-use. Giving the Thermafreeze Reusable Ice Pack Sheets 3 stars because:1) They work fabulously well the FIRST time they are used. We used them to wrap around things in suitcases that had to stay cold for an airplane flight; and also used them when moving cross-country on a two-day trek. They kept things cold without issue.2) They are NOT reusable. After they thaw, they are slimy, gooey, messy sheets that have to be tossed. If you keep them frozen (and have the space to do so)…
