Great Design – Finally One That Works I finally found the right product. The sleeve easily comes out with a simple turn and lift, and it can be microwaved and washed. Previous vacuum sealed canisters could not go through the dishwasher [water gets trapped inside], but this is fabulous! The insulated metal sleeve remains clean, so only the clear plastic and lid needs cleaning. [The metal sleeve only ever needs a wipe with a wet cloth, if its been handled with dirty hands. Relying on the manufacturer is almost always a bad idea. I’m seconding the review by MCapiro. This item doesn’t retain heat as well as a traditional thermos, but that’s to be expected.My liner developed cracks in the bottom which leaked after about 3 months. The warranty process is a nightmare. I sent the item back to Thermos 3 months ago, no reply from them. I’ve send numerous followup emails, which advise me to call customer support. Unfortunately no one ever answers the phone. I’ve been on hold twice, 30 minutes each, they never pick up. All…
Brilliant concept, poor quality and horrible part order solution If I reviewed this a couple weeks ago I would give it a 5 star; however, recent events changed that opinion.The concept here is brilliant. You can fill the inner liner with soup or something then put that in the fridge. The next day heat it up while you put hot water into the outer liner. Put the inner liner into the outer and you have a hot meal later in the day when settling down to lunch.We purchased one to give it a try and really liked it so we bought a second one…
