Best Paracord since active duty As a veteran of the US Army 82nd Airborne, I know a few things about paracord. Being Infantry, I used paracord and 500 mph tape for just about everything – sometimes I wondered if I was carrying more weight in equipment or paracord and tape! Not the best MIL-C-5040H, but the most robust by far. I purchased three hanks from three separate MIL-C-5040H Class III paracord manufacturers in black. The first thing I did was cut about 1″ off of each hank to expose the inner strands and fray the sheath to examine the quality of the weave. Here are my findings.
