Great for side sleeping, but not 3 season Iâm tall, skinny, boney, and a side sleeper (6â3â, 190). Iâve tried many, many pads over the years and none have been this thick. For this price this was an easy grab for me to try and I donât regret it. I donât feel like my feet hung off the end, even with a pillow, and my hips never hit ground even as I rolled from side to side. That being said, I got cold. Too narrow, too noisy, too slippery Bought these for a camping trip recently, and I have to say I was unimpressed, for all the reasons given in the headline.I have a nylon mummy bag, and trying to sleep on this pad with that was like trying to skate across a hardwood floor on two bars of wet soap — I kept sliding in every direction. Great design, very comfortable, not too heavy. UPDATE: After using this in a real world setting on top of a cold mountain, I have learned a little more about it. Using inside the sleeping bag did not work out. Just not enough room. Also learned that I was perfectly fine with my bag on top of the pad.
