Nice but slightly underwhelming I purchased the rose gold version, since it was almost half the price at the time. The Compass is definitely solidly built and opens/closes very smoothly with just the right combo of rubber to metal to prevent slippage. It is very heavy though, so for some that could be a negative. Here is my breakdown based off my experience using this on a 6 hour long flight:Pro:- Solidly built, quite heavy though- Rose Gold was not as distracting as I thought it would be, I quite like it…

Works well for 11″ ipad pro but less so for the 12.9″ The iPad pro sits securely in the stand unlike the previous version. However, the fully extended position does not work well with the bigger 12.9″ ipad pro as it drops into the lower middle position, compressing the extended leg as you interact with the screen. The stand works flawlessly with the smaller 11″ ipad pro. It should also be noted that there is no way to use Apple’s smart keyboard with the stand.

Ignore him, unless you want your big beautiful $1,100 iPad to tip over. I wanted a skinny iPad stand to put in an iPad case with my 12.9 iPad that was not as fat as my Amazon basics stand which was $8.99. Amazon’s is ugly but very stable, but wont fit in the case. Conclusion; even though this wobbly piece of junk didnt work for my iPad Pro 12.9 I kept it because my iPad Air 2 looks very cool on it because…
