The MHS75 covers all USA, International, and Canadian marine channels, keeping you up-to-date with all the latest marine activity.

All NOAA Weather Channels with Weather Alert

This radio comes preprogrammed with NOAA weather channels. The Emergency/Weather Alert allows it to function as a severe weather warning radio and will also alert you to any local or national emergencies. If the NOAA issues warning while this feature is turned On, the radio sounds an alert tone. You will then hear the emergency/weather broadcast.

Instant Channel 16/9/Triple Watch

Triple Watch mode monitors channels 16 and 9 for a signal while you listen to the currently selected channel. The marine radio checks channel 16 and 9 for activity every 2 seconds.

Dual, Triple, Quad Watch Operation

These different watch modes let you monitor up to two Coast Guard Distress/Hailing channels and one weather channel along with one regular marine channel.

Memory Channel Scan

Automatically scan your programmed channels with Memory Channel Scan. Scanning starts from the lowest to highest channel and stops when it finds an active channel. It remains on that channel until the transmission ends, then resumes scanning after a two-second delay period.

Clip-On DC Charger

The MHS75 ships with a rapid clip-on DC charger. Charge in any standard 12 volt DC “cigarette lighter” style outlet.

Great product. My husband and his best buddy are avid ocean kayak fisherman. They each got one and were able to conveniently communicate with each other when they had to divide and conquer in the open ocean. The radio also gives me a lot of piece of mind because it allows them to easily contact the coast guard or other vessels for assistance in case of an emergency. My husband dropped his in the salt water a couple times and it still works just fine. The battery life is really good in that he only has to…

Not bad, but avoid swimming with it. Decent support from Uniden I initially wrote a bad review for this radio since mine suddenly became fully unresponsive after about a dozen trips spaced out over about 15 months. Having said that, I roll my boat every time I go out and paddle in rough ocean surf all the time so I’m much harder on the radio than the average customer.Based on poor reports about customer service, I wasn’t optimistic when I tried to contact them for warranty support. In fact, the first time I tried, I couldn’t get through…

I tried good distance scanning radio for about 8 miles away from … I have been testing this radio for about 3 weeks now on my truck vehicle to see how communications is holding up. I tried good distance scanning radio for about 8 miles away from coastline and to see if I could hear coast guard communications and it passed my test. The test was done in near California coastal near Santa Monica beach. When it comes to life safety I would not use any product until I’m satisfied not what people say about the product. Don’t get me wrong It’s always is good to hear…
