There’s a big difference between this American-made “PRO” model and the Chinese-made “LITE” model…only buy the “PRO” model. Initially I ordered two of the “LITE” model folding shovels but determined them to be inadequate even just for very light use. (My review of the “LITE” model is posted on its own Amazon product page.) So I ordered the “PRO” model from a different vendor and hoped for the best.Unfortunately, the second vendor erroneously sent me the “LITE” model shovels instead of the “PRO” model shovels I ordered; and when contacted, sincerely apologized and advised me that, in fact, they did NOT…
USA-made or China-made? According to the manufacturer, UST Brands, there are two versions of their folding shovel: The “U-Dig-It” and the “U-Dig-It Pro”. Notable differences are:Pro is USA-made. Make sure yours says Made in USA. If not, send it back. I purchased U-Dig-it shovel almost exactly 2 years ago. I just looked it up in my order history so I could check the weight, because I’m working towards building an ultralight gear setup. I have the Pro model… yea, the one made in USA. That’s the one you should receive when ordering. If not, return it due to incorrect product information being listed, because in the bullet points above, it still says “U-Dig-it Pro”… tell Amazon you want the Pro model that comes in the box…
