Incredibly durable Because back of bottle completely opens, this is a great option for scooping water quickly while backpacking. BPA free and FDA approved, incredibly durable without sharp edges (like Sawyer Squeeze bottles) that can damage your pack and gear. Very strong chemical/solvent smell when new. Wash with soap, rinse, repeat and then fill with water for a couple days and dump before using. At this point, the smell will be gone.

Seeps water I really wanted to like this bottle. It looks good, it has a wide opening, standard bottle opening, the plastic seems durable and the texture feels nice. The problem is that water seeps from the corner of the roll top closure on mine. (the part pictured) It’s not a substantial leak, but it’s definitely enough to get your stuff wet in your pack after a while. Perhaps the issue is just with mine, but it seems a tighter seal would help.
