Timer switch is tricky to figure out, must use remote to activate. These lamps are lightweight and look okay. The flame-like glow actually does flicker like a candle. The only confusion is how to make the Timer consistently come on each evening. Got two lanterns, one comes on at the set time (sometimes) but the other only activates using the included remote. No instructions are provided. The Timer “switch” did not work at all on either lantern, but was able to activate them by putting the switch to “On” then pressing “6-hr.” on the remote.
Black looks bad in person Opened box and knew right away I would not keep them. Bottom and top edge of cylinder looks bad and is rough. Lid of one of the two I bought is warped and doesn’t lay flat. Poking my finger through one of the designs in the side the candle was plastic and not waxy (what I was looking for). Idea was nice, I really liked the remote option but since I will look at these in the daytime too, I can’t keep them. There’s some minor imperfections I could have overlooked but there’s too much wrong…
Purchased 6 of them… Really nice quality, these were just what I needed for my shelves. The remote controls work great. All go on/off at the same time with the same remote. Love the timer option too.
