Waterdrop Advanced DA2900020B filters are tested and certified by NSF International against NSF 53 for the reduction of health-related contaminants including Lead, Cyst, Benzene, Carbofuran and Endrin, and against NSF 42 for aesthetic effects by reducing Chlorine, Taste and Odor.

Works great! No leaks! It was shocked that the name brand filters cost around $50.00! So, I checked Amazon and found these and paid half and still received two filters! They work great if they are properly installed. I noticed several complaints about leaking so I was a little worried and put a cup out to drip into. Other than the initial drips that you always get after a filter change, it stopped. Couldn’t be happier with this product. Saving money and getting the same thing! My favorite.
NSF 42 Has Little to do with Water Quality! You want NSF 53 for home drinking water Update 8/28/2018:My original title mentioned NFS 42 had nothing to do with water quality. That title was slightly misleading as it does hold these filters to a degree of water filtration standards. What I meant was that these are not going to filter out the common things that will get you sick, which (for me at least) is what I want out of a water filter. NFS 42 is a pretty low standard for filtration, you want NFS 53 certified filters for drinking water. Apologies for any confusion…
Not as happy after testing the water quality I was skeptical after having bought a couple knockoffs at the big box stores over the years that never fit quite right and had terrible water pressure, but so far I’ve been very impressed with these. Perfect fit and great pressure. I’ve got a water tester ordered so soon I’ll be able to truly judge filtration quality, but right now I’m very pleased.UPDATE: 8/25/2017-I’ve just finished testing my water for TDS and I’m a little concerned. My tap water measures approx. 200PPM…
