Whirlpool — WHEERM Reverse Osmosis Replacement Membrane NSF Certified Contaminant Removal Our WHEERM Reverse Osmosis Replacement Membrane fits our most advanced filtration systems that meet the requirements set by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF). The NSF Standard for water filtration systems requires devices to reduce up to 15 contaminants that are commonly found in drinking water. This means our filtration systems are certified to remove contaminants such as copper, cysts, lead, sodium and chloride. How Does Reverse Osmosis Work? Reverse osmosis filtration works by applying high pressure to the water source, forcing pre-filtered water through a semipermeable membrane at a high rate leaving dissolved contaminants behind. The water then goes through another filter and is stored in a tank before coming through your home’s faucet cleaner than ever before. 2 Year Membrane Life For our reverse osmosis filtration systems to be covered through their lifetime warranty, you need to change the system’s filters and membrane regularly. You can start by replacing your filters twice per year to ensure your system is working correctly. The membrane can last four times longer than the filters, but that depends on the condition of your water before it goes through the filtration system. Highly contaminated water will require more frequent membrane and filter changes. Simple Membrane Replacement The UltraEase Filter & Membrane Replacement system does not require you to shut your water off. Simply turn the membrane a quarter turn and it will release. Replace it with a new membrane, and reverse the quarter turn until the membrane clicks into place.

Perfect match for Kenmore RO First time to change RO filter cartidges since buying the house, so was a bit afraid these might not fit the Kenmore system. Outside appearance was similar from the pictures, but my research couldn’t assure me 100%. Turns out they were perfect for the job. Also, note that there are two types of the actual RO filter (not the pre and post filters). The membranes are made of a different material. This Whirpool RO cartridge uses the best membrane. Oh yes — the filter pack comes with the CR2032…

Great price. My original one lasted almost 10 years … Great price . My original one lasted almost 10 years and still was making water under 30 tds . Key to long life is using a carbon filter for the whole house and must have a water softener when water supply is above 10 grains per gallon . I’m able to reduce tds down to 17 from over 400 . Theses membranes are designed to do 90 percent reduction of dissolved solids

The first time through it was, so, so and then it got worse. I have installed about 8 of these kinds of system and to tell the truth I am really disappointed int the Whirlpool variety. The first round of filters had 48 PPM which is OK, but in a short span of time it wore out and the only two people in my house are my wife and I. The next filters pack never got better than 141 PPM, the next pack never got better than 177, the next pack never got better than 238 PPM…. I am done. I followed directions carefully and yet it made no difference. I bought the…
