Tightening the lock nut easily stripped out the threads It works OK but you get what you pay for. The base that the pedestal screws into has too few threads (fine threads). Tightening the lock nut easily stripped out the threads. I had to weld a nut onto the base so it had some meat for the pedestal to grab. That solved that problem. Also, even with all the adjustment knobs tightened it still has play between the various pieces if you wiggle the unit. No too much of an issue but it is not rock solid.
