Kershaw is proud to present the Chive that started it all. With its 1.9-inch blade, the Chive is a small knife, perfect for everyday carry in a pocket, pack, purse or briefcase. SpeedSafe assisted opening ensures the Chive\u2019s handy compact blade is always ready to go in a pinch with a simple pull back on the ambidextrous flipper. The Chive\u2019s blade is made of high-carbon 420HC steel, offering good edge retention and excellent corrosion resistance while the handle is made of corrosion resistant 410 stainless steel. Both are coated in a bead-blasted finish for a non-reflective, matte appearance that is easy to maintain. The Chive\u2019s two locking systems ensure safe usage and transport. A frame lock provides solid blade lock-up while the blade is in operation, and a sliding Tip-lock help keeps the blade safely in the handle during transport.The Chive just might be the perfect little pocketknife. With its less-than-two-inch blade, the Chive is a small knife, which makes it perfect for pocket, pack, purse, or briefcase carry. But just because it\u2019s small doesn\u2019t mean the Chive isn\u2019t mighty. In fact, the Chive is perfect for just about any cutting task you\u2019d care to ask it to do\u2014from opening packages to breaking down cardboard boxes. To ensure this handy little blade is always ready when you need it, the Chive is equipped with SpeedSafe assisted opening. Just pull back on the ambidextrous blade protrusion or push on the thumbstud and the blade moves out of the handle, ready for use. The high-carbon blade steel offers good edge retention and excellent corrosion resistance. The bead-blasted finish is easy to maintain. For safety, the Chive has two locking systems. The frame lock secures the blade open so it can\u2019t accidentally close during use. And to ensure that it won\u2019t accidentally open during transport, the Chive is also equipped with a Tip-Lock slider to lock the blade closed when folded. In pure stainless steel, both blade and handle are easy to clean and maintain.<\/p>\n
