Pins are short…I wouldn’t trust using them I bought these because I like the idea of the hard rubber coating where the bar rests. They looks like they are high quality but have one major problem…the pins are so short that they don’t actually extend through the other side of the square tube. They are much shorter than my other J-hooks and I wouldn’t trust heavy weights to them. Seems like a stupid design decision and is very disappointing. Would recommend finding ones with a longer pin for safety.
If you own the Fitness Reality 810XLT, do yourself a favor and upgrade to these J-Hooks for safety reasons! If you own the Fitness Reality 810XLT squat rack, just know that these fit PERFECTLY on the rack. The issue with the bar rack hooks that are included with the rack is that when you roll the bar ‘left’ and ‘right’ increasing the change of the bar coming off of place of the squat rack!! This is especially true with heavy weight on it. After realizing this flaw and personally experienced the hooks ‘rolling’ where the stock hooks could potentially fall off, I decided to do my due diligence to…
Just what I needed What I needed.Got a Titan T-2 rack, the included J-hooks are bare painted steel.As soon as I racked the bar, i knew I needed a replacement – there was so much friction between the bar and the hooks, it made moving the bar in-place impossible.Titan was out of stock of their official plastic-covered hooks.Yes4All to the rescue!Cheaper, good quality, fits the rack. 10/10!
