5++ stars! This striker is awesome! It’s lightweight enough to wear and has a cord to wear around the neck. It comes with a refill but don’t think I will need to use it for a long time because the original will get many uses before needing replaced. This makes a powerful spark & makes fire-starting so much easier!
I just used this on a backpacking trip. As … I just used this on a backpacking trip. As with any flint, you need to practice a little to channel the sparks it produces into actual flame. This product was able to successfully light up a fire for me. It even comes with the spare rod Incase the other one runs out. Everything else appeared to be as described.
Pretty cool This thing is so cool! I bought this for use to take camper with us. I have never seen nothing like this. It did come wrapped in plastic bubble wrap to keep it from rubbing and starting a fire as you don’t have to put my pressure on it for it to strict a fire. You do get a extra one so your getting 2 for the price of one. My husband will be leaving this in his boat for when he goes boating and decides he needs to light the mosquito candle or if he decides to make a fire in the bank. Great…
