Great travel gadget for anyone needing to get oriented for walking trips When I’m bow hunting I’m always looking at these and checking the wind direction. Although the weatherman is not always right, the compass is. Here in northern Minnesota, there have been several times when I got turned around tracking a bear or a deer at night and I think I have to go in one direction to get out to a road or power line. But the compass has always got me home when I didn’t have a GPS with.
This is a much nicer compass than several more expensive models. I was worried that the compass housing would be flimsy but it is actually very solid and durable. This is a much nicer compass than several more expensive models.
This compass is the real thing.
