Lovely for post surgical pain relief, also to use … Lovely for post surgical pain relief, also to use in lunch cooler and to keep cooler when working several hours in heat, when wrapped into bandanna around neck. Multiple uses, last forever, ho!dchill up to 8-10 hours used in cooler and quickly made cold when returned to freezer for a few hours. Maintains flexibility when frozen, and resists cracking around edges. Some of mine have been used for years, now, but as we jeep fi ding new uses, we always need more.
Not very good as a cold use product. The gel used gets hard as a rock when put in the freezer and makes them unusable until they warm up some. I also found they didn’t retain the cold very long, unlike the ones purchased from drug stores that are meant to only be used cold. I think the fact these can be used hot or cold is the issue – the gel isn’t designed only for cold usage. I didn’t try them hot as I use another product when I want heat. I ended up throwing them away.
Glad I bought these â they work for me. My gel packs were delivered today. Since it was an EXTREMELY hot day (almost 100° F) when they came out of the mailbox they were quite warm and I was able to give them a quick “test drive.” I got them for help with an arthritic wrist, and they are the perfect size for me, as I’m able to wrap one all the way around my wrist. Even with just the residual heat from their stay in the mailbox after a few minutes my wrist started to feel a bit better. I imagine that when I’ve heated them…
