Always went for the name brand, expensive ones. This is better. After trying several, I have to say this is a very good tripod. It feels every sturdy and strong. The legs seem a bit stronger and thicker than others I tried (though just a bit heavier which I like because it makes it more stable). The twist locks on the legs are smooth and well made and lock/unlock easily. I love the leg angle adjustments.
