NOT Stainless Steel! It’s definitely NOT stainless steel. There’s a thin plating that flakes off before you even get it and reveals cheap metal underneath. DO NOT BUY. They lied about it. Unless you want your projects covered in metal flakes, just don’t buy it. For all we know, what’s underneath could be lead.

DSYJ Stainless Steel 550 Paracord Fid, Lacing, Stitching Needles (2pcs) DSYJ Stainless Steel 550 Paracord Fid, Lacing, Stitching Needles (2pcs)I purchased these Lacing Needles to work with paracord and some other more stretchy bungee material. It allows you to stick the end of the cord, if it is less than a quarter inch diameter, into the end and screw it in to hold while threading it through a bit of loop. Works well and as necessary, a little hot glue on the cord end will help it to stay in until you are finished. I like it.

Must-have for paracord projects A must have for your paracord projects. 550 easily screws into the threaded end. It is easy to then attach micro-cord to a piece of 550 threaded into this fid, thereby eliminating the need for a second smaller fid. If you are on the fence about buying a matched pair like this, or a set of 2-3 different size fids… go with this one, and you’ll be glad you have matching fids for many projects. Like I said it’s easy enough to melt micro-cord to 550.
