sizing depends on your use I think the sizing depends on how you’re using them. I originally ordered a Large because I wear 12 jeans. They were pretty tight in the hips and waist, but I was wearing pants underneath. I bought these to use for outdoor duty at school on the extra cold days. So I needed them to fit over other pants. If you’re buying these for skiing/snowboarding and only plan to wear thermals underneath, then they seem to run pretty true to size. If you want them over other clothes, then buy a size bigger…

Great Pants!! These pants are great! Wore them in Park City, Utah for a whole week. The temperature was -8° and the parents kept me warm and dry. I am 5’7″ and purchased a medium. They were slightly loose around the waist but great for layering. I would even consider buying another pair in a different color.
