I thought it was an upgrade but now I think I may have bought a movie prop instead. I’m not so sure about this radio. Granted this is my first experience with this system, but that being said I’m usually pretty good about getting acquainted with new saftey tech and knock on wood following the directions provided and after downloading the user manual as well, my unit seems to be completely un responsive besides taking a charge and lighting up. I’m definetly open to it’s probably user error, but at the same time this was kinda supposed to be an upgrade from the older system I am…
These radios work well. 3 complaints… … These radios work well. 3 complaints… 1, channels accidentally get changed if you bump the dial with letters on it, even if you lock channel on radio. 2, The microphone piece comes unplugged from radio randomly, I duct-taped mine together. 3, You must be very precise when pushing the orange button to talk, frequently especially with gloves miss the correct point and your message doesnt go through. otherwise they work well
Fragile and fail to work in the cold. Bought these for snowmobiling and they didn’t even last a couple of months. One never really worked well and stopped transmitting any sound once it got really cold (20 degrees F). They only way to fix it was to remove the battery and put the battery back in. Did this so many times during the day that eventually the connector for cable that goes between the main radio and the microphone/speaker snapped. The version 2 of these are out now and I would ONLY buy version #2 if you are interested…
