If you own a small forest… I originally bought this for camping, but I live on several acres of forest and I now carry it every time I go out for a walk. When I see a branch that needs trimming or ivy crawling up a tree, I remove the saw from my Felco 910 leather holster (meant for pruners) and cut away. The saw cuts fast and does not bend. It cuts wood with amazing speed and efficiency. I highly recommend getting a Felco 910 to carry it around. Absolutely one of my most favorite tools. No regrets whatsoever.

Great saw! Recently purchased this saw and knife and used the saw on a backpacking trip along the AT in northern Georgia. I used it to cut down a 40-ft dead tree with trunk diameter of about 4-inches and then used it to cut up the tree into fire-logs. It did amazing. Highly recommend this saw.

excellent Ah, the infamous Bahco Laplander. Now I see why it is revered. It is a great saw. These, the Silky’s, and the Corona are very popular and often touted, compared, and argued about. I can’t speak about the Silky’s, I’m sure they are great… but I do own the Corona and find the Bahco to be a much better saw. I can see how some might say the Corona is ‘faster’… but I think that may be related to it being slightly bigger, and also to a large degree, user preference (regarding push/pull cutting)…
