Terrific in every way – so glad I discovered Ballston Socks! True to size, very well made, just the right weight for general winter wear (and walking/hiking year round), the high wool content I prefer, and SO comfortable. I also love Ballston’s environmentally responsible minimal processing and packaging. I’m totally delighted with these socks!
look good, feel good They fit perfectly, look good, feel good, and stay up pretty well also. I wanted lightweight wool socks that would not make all my shoes and boots feel too tight (like my heavyweight wool socks do), and these are just right. I hope to be able to wear them year-round as they do not make my feet feel hot in my shoes like cotton blend socks do.So far there’s been no shrinkage. I turn them inside out to wash, and let them air dry overnight. Being wool they actually air dry pretty…
Sub par… No where near as good as less expensive merino wool or blended socks Iâve purchased. Not sure why these come so highly rated… I have a number of other merino wool (or blended) socks and they all perform better than these. My feet get moist (and donât particularly smell great) after wearing the socks for literally just a few minutes… After testing them out for a day I hand washed them and hung them to dry; the material is already piling and unraveling… I donât know if I got the one bad batch they make, but these are in no way worth the price tag and I would bet money that…
