Why did it take so long for someone to make one of these… Probably a little heavier than most backpackers would carry, but lighter than any other hatchet/shovels as far as I know. I love it, it’s a permanent part of my camping gear from now on.
Get the job done! Enjoyed this when I went camping it did everything we needed it to do! And yes the handle is made out of plastic it would have been nice if it was metal but regardless was great! Even used it as a hammer for my tent!
HUGE hit with my son’s scouting friends. I was looking for a gift for a teenage boy I don’t know very well. He’s in Boy Scouts along with my son. When this showed up my son was so enamored I ended up buying a second one for him. This has been a HUGE HIT in their scout troop. It’s very well made, has tons of doodads, and is light enough that it’s easy to take on their backpacking trips.
