Good, inexpensive solution for group communications at short to medium range Inexpensive solution for short-to-medium range communications within a group. I bought six of these at around ten bucks each and programmed the same frequency and CTSS tone into all 16 channels to make them “idiot proof,” and give them out to drivers in my group at off-road events. They are perfect for communications within a group of Jeeps and even back to base camp 1/2 mile away. But dense foliage and terrain can block the signal; not a problem on the trail within the group, but…
Great Little Radios at a VERY fair price I have been using this brand of radio for a very long time.. they are inexpensive, easy to program, and also very easy to use..The range is also fairly good on them… For about fifteen bucks, you get a lot of radio!!
Good radios for the money – But not legal as sold These are very good quality. The feel, controls, and cabinets are all substantial.
