Makes economic sense for a group. For what this is, a bulk-deal on an entry-level radio, it’s worthwhile. All the radios were in pristine condition, and programmed quickly, although some finagling was needed because they were not all exactly the same internally (different firmware versions). If you’re outfitting a group, this is an economical way to do it.

Radios worked, cord not so much I bought these for my husband for an anniversary gift.
