MIGHT BE A PROBLEM WITH INTERNAL MICROPHONE CONTACT. OTHERWISE THIS IS A GREAT RADIO I have experienced a problem after programming the radio. It appears that after inserting the program cable the Microphone Contact, internal to the radio, did not close completely. After programming persons that I was speaking with stated there was considerable static in my transmission. After checking all that I could to try and find the static another Baofeng owner told me to insert and remove the programming cable. Great starter radio. Interested me enough to get my own amateur license. I initially bought a BaoFeng UV-5R+ because of the price point when I was interested in ham radio and wanted to listen in to see what was going on in my area on the ham radio frequencies.
