Excellent bang for the buck! These little radios are an excellent bang for the buck. They are not just for anyone to use although you could take them out of the box and fire them up with little issues. They do require some research and knowledge if you want to delve deeper into the world of amateur radio though. I went ahead and got my GRMS license and plan on getting my technician license. I picked up two of these for dual reasons. First, I wanted to have decent radios while hiking with family which these work perfectly…

Rusty Reeve says:

Pleasantly Surprised! Bought these radios after hearing comments like “they are a good value if you can figure out how to program them, etc, etc” Was mostly curious and willing to take a chance with my ~$60. I have been a ham operator for over 50 years; buying an unknown entity is not new to me. Bought several accessories to accompany them (Nagoya antenna and speaker/mic sets).

Fit Mom says:

Get You Some Of These! I’ve been using for several weeks. I am just blown away by the features and performance. I highly recommend these units for anyone wanting a low cost solution for good communications. I’ve used radios costing substantially more, with fewer features yet similar performance.
