Unable to Adjust accuracy.. This thing got thrown in the trash! It was unable to tell proper direction. I ended up going to a local car parts store to replace it with a different kind of compass. That compass was also having difficulty with directional identification. Perhaps it was the materials in my car that were throwing it off. The real problem with the compass from Amazon was that there was no apparent way to adjust the accuracy of the compass. The one I bought locally, I have adjusted and it works great.
Don’t buy it! I tried placing this on many different places on the dashboard and window and it didn’t work anywhere. It would show the correct direction at first but after driving a short distance was way off. The light also doesn’t work. It only lights up when you push AND HOLD the button and the light only shows on the left side.
It mounts easily to my dashboard and is always accurate This compass has been a life saver for my directionally challenged self. There have been many times I have wondered which direction I was going and this provides the answer every time. It mounts easily to my dashboard and is always accurate.Considering the bargain price, I am very happy with my “poor man’s GPS”.
