The Berkey works wonders on the horrible city water here The Berkey works wonders on the horrible city water here. The taste of the water without the Berkey is so horrid it is almost impossible to drink. I have a chronic illness and need to eliminate as many toxins and chemicals from my water as possible. The Berkey does this. A friend and I did a taste test between a Brita and the Berkey. We did this with a different city’s water. The Berkey had no “taste” compared to the Brita.
Clean tasting water We live in a community on a well. They dump chlorine into our drinking water. That’s why we bought the Berkey. It filters out the chlorine very well. Only clean tasting water remains. Highly recommend.
great system I got the Berkey system the city water supply was declared unsafe to drink because of cyanotoxins. Berkey does not claim that their system removes cyanotoxins because there are so many types and not all have been tested. But they responded to my email and gave me information to help me make the decision. As I was setting up the system, the tap-water drinking ban was lifted.
