Its a nice knife, its is only a Damascus pattern i Its a nice knife, its is only a Damascus pattern i.e. its like a surface level etch and there is no actual discernible folding of the steel. that being said its a very cool looking feeling knife. Great looking knife Great looking knife! Not layered steel; etched pattern, but I knew that when I purchased it. My biggest issue is the weight. It’s 7.5 oz! 1/2 lb of knife is allot for most people to be carrying around daily in their pocket. The locking mechanism is my favorite I’ve ever used (see photo). It arrived reasonably sharp. What a fortunate mistake I misread the description. This is NOT a “Damascus steel” (pattern welded) blade. It is a hefty knife containing a regular blade with a Damascus steel pattern etched into it.
