Great for backpacking! Cool little and light weight lantern/solar charger! While the light is wonderful, including a camp light and flash light, do not rely on this as your only means to charge your phone, etc. It did add a charge to it, enough for sure to make an emergency call or text, but I would not rely on it as your only way to charge your devices while on the trail. The light offers both a camp light and a flash light, both excellent! Easily hung off my backpack to charge in the sun while hiking.
Thumbs up. Very nice, useful product. Initial impression is a couple minor cons only. The SOS functionality is somewhat compromised because there’s not much difference between the duration of the dots and of the dashes. If I didn’t know it was a SOS, I might think it’s just a flashing light. The outer box says that one minute of solar charge yields 30 minutes of light. The nightlight that turns on when its closed is perfect for nighttime camping runs to the bathroom!
