Very good This is a great headlamp. Fits on the head well and stays in place; different lighting modes; bright lamp; durable; easy to turn on/off. Black Diamond makes good gear, and this one is a nicely moderately-priced headlamp. I also like that it can be adjusted to point down (for those 2am pee breaks when camping). It doesn’t have wires hanging down, and it is also light. I would recommend it for sure.

Excellent buy when I bought it for $20; probably wouldn’t pay the $30-35 that I sometimes see this go for This headlamp has already been on a number of adventures with me, on overnight canoe trips, backpacking, and in my pocket for those day hikes that run a tad long. I will echo a few points made by other reviewers: First, it is indeed very easy to accidentally toggle the button and turn this on in your pack. It has only happened to me once, and I always carry spare batteries just in case, but that could be a trip-ruining event and this headlamp is worse in that regard than any of the other 4 or 5…

Nice features, + IT DIMS! This light has a nice suite of functions with a pretty small learning curve. It comes with a little “quick start” folder which I suggest you cover with packing tape to ruggedize/waterproof it and keep with the light till you know how to run it by heart. This item is way simpler than any cell phone I’ve owned, but if you don’t use it a lot then you have to relearn it each time. Did I mention that I love the dimming function? That you can dim each of its LED’s? Hello longer battery life!
