For the price, it’s a bargain and gets the job done. Length:: 1:06 Mins For the price of $11, it’s a steal.The batteries alone for AAA Lithium are $1.20-1.50 a piece.I got this for my kids, ages 3-6, and the controls are not the easiest to learn and use. I uploaded a video on how to control the functions if you need help.If you are wearing gloves, have very dry hands, or wet/moist hands, the touch switch doesn’t work or respond well to touch.These will be used for car camping, walking at night…
Reasonable price but turning it on/off is very finicky. The button free touch sensor to turn the unit on and off and adjust brightness is a nice concept but it is very finicky. It doesn’t matter if your fingers are clean, dirty, hot, cold, or wet, this unit usually takes about 5 tries to get it to respond the way you are intending. Once you get it turned on it is actually very bright for it’s size with good battery life. According to the manual it is water resistant. I have worn it for brief periods in the rain with no issues but the battery door…
This is an amazing headlamp. A few things to note Update – 9/6/15Despite my original assumption that the case seemed prone to breaking, it has been 11 months and about 15 trips out (I don’t store with batteries in) and it still has yet to break.The light adjustment (slide finger to dim or brighten) has become easier to use and very handy for night hikes.I used the light in 10°F weather with no problem.
