This is a really well designed product. The button … This is a really well designed product. The button interface lets you start it up in red mode even if you can’t remember whether it was in red or white when you shut it off. It also has quite a lot of power. The only thing I wish it had is a soft white instead of a bright white.

Works well I had a little bit of a learning curve with using the button to get the various settings, but I think I’ve pretty much figured it out now and I find it very versatile. The spot beam is powerful and with fresh batteries easily throw 75 to 100 ft. I think my favorite feature is that you can dim the floodlight and I find that pretty effective for reading when camping. So far, so good! It is lightweight, and the band is surprisingly comfortable! I really love that it comes in purple, that’s the reason I actually bought the Cosmo over the Spot. The one feature this doesn’t have compared to the Spot is a dimmable red light feature, but that isn’t too much of a concern for me. It came with the needed batteries, but I almost see that as unnecessary as I have rechargeable AAAs I plan to use, but I can see that being a selling point for others.
