The 360 deg rotation is an untrue claim. This thing does not swing 360 degrees away to toward anything. Ugh. The Compass looks good and the cable management is adequate, though the device doesn’t completely hold your cable inside. It’s definitely better than every other mic boom in that regard. As for articulation – it worked great for the first few hours. It uses some sort of internal tension technology that causes problems though. When you install the boom into the base with the clamp, you just lay it down on top and it gives you that advertised 360 degree swivel. This is important…
Five Stars Nice quality build, no spring I love it!
THIS is the boom I’ve been waiting for! As an audio producer, I spend more of my life than I’d care to admit in my studio. I have been wanting to replace my crappy spring arm boom with something like this for some time, but the price point was beyond my means… until now.Installation and adjustment to accommodate my mic were simple and painless. It looks good, it’s very sturdy… perfect addition to my studio.Shipping was much faster than expected too!
